QuantumIT has been operating in the higher education sector since 2008 with InPlace, which was built after winning a project at, and with business insight and assistance from La Trobe University and released in 2010. Offices outside of Australia are primarily focused on supporting the InPlace product suite operations. Including, but not limited to product deployment (including configuration, training, integrations and the likes), sales and other related activities, as well as product, technical and customer support.

The initial success of InPlace led to the additional employer-based product being developed by QuantumIT, InPlace Network.

InPlace (For Universities)

InPlace (https://inplacesoftware.com/) is a cloud-hosted enterprise solution for Higher Education Institutes to manage student workplace experiences such as placements, internships, clinical rotations, student-teacher placements, industry projects, international experiences, and more.

InPlace Network (For Employers)

InPlace Network (https://inplacesoftware.com/healthcare/) is a cloud hosted employer-based solution for managing students undertaking an experience in their organisation. InPlace Network enables definition of student intake capacity and the facilitation of relationships with educators. The core market is Healthcare providers.

InPlace Audit

InPlace Audit is for defining and managing workplace safety audits including reviews and action plans, and ensures appropriate standards are maintained at workplaces where students are being placed.

Essentially, any experience where the student is leaving the university/institution to put their skills into practice can be managed by either system for their respective industry. The student work experience practice is commonly referred to as Work Integrated Learning, Cooperative Education, clinical education, practicum field placements, or an internship program, amongst other terms. The solutions (and a range of complementary products) have been developed by QuantumIT.
